Josh Gibson, PMP
Managing Partner, Development & Pre-Construction Services
Josh is the founder and Managing Partner of the Caber Group of Companies. Established in 2003, the Caber Group has evolved from a residential real estate development and construction company into a full service Real Property Consultancy. Leveraging almost two decades of active engagement in the Ottawa market, Josh has curated, developed and maintained relationships throughout the real property and construction industry. These relationships provide his clients with unparalleled access to expedited service and project delivery capabilities.
Josh has been fortunate to work with some of the largest and most successful developers and land owners in Eastern Ontario and is familiar with industry standards and best practices used by our regional construction industry. His work in construction, project financing, appraisal, and urban land use has provided him with an appreciation of each component of the project lifecycle.
Kim McCarthy, Dipl.T.Arch, PQS, GSC
Pre-Construction & Lender Services
Kim McCarthy's career in development and construction aligns seamlessly with Caber's. Her work as an owner representative throughout the pre-construction, construction and post construction development process augments Caber's Project Management and Development group. As a Professional Quantity Surveyor, she is instrumental in establishing:
- budget & cost development
- construction risk management analysis
- constructability/feasibility reviews
- scheduling/phasing plans
- bid packaging and procurement strategies
- construction and post construction oversight
A conscientious professional with 22 years of construction estimating expertise, building science knowledge and 15 years of senior management experience. Kim's extensive General Contracting background in the Institutional, Commercial and Industrial markets and work with a Mechanical Contracting firm in the heavy mining, nuclear and power sectors provides brings "real world" insight to Caber's projects.
Tara Myers, B.Eng., P.Eng., GSC
Pre-Construction & Lender Services
As a Professional Engineer, Tara is hands on when establishing budget & cost development. Her practical experience in conducting construction risk management analysis, engineering for value reviews, bid packaging and procurement strategies provides practical and executable insight into any project she encounters. Her extensive experience in construction and post construction oversight and financial lending approvals is the backbone of Caber's Lender services program.
Tara's twenty years of project management, estimating and operational experience focused on institutional, commercial and industrial construction provides the Caber Group with flexibility across markets, industries and building types.
Tara's past role as Chief Estimator in the General Contracting sector has provided her with a network of sub-contractor and supplier contacts and strategies to execute projects within budget and schedule.
